18 month checkup

At this appointment, we discussed several issues with Ella concerning her sleeping or lack thereof.  The doctor said she looks great & is very healthy--although when I explained my concern about sleep apnea, he agreed that an ENT consult was not a bad idea.  She has been waking consistently for the last 6 months & always seems very agitated, that along with the shape of her palate (roof of her mouth) & family history lead me to this suspicion.  Could this be an overly tired mother who is just looking to get some rest, of course, but could I really be onto something, possibly.  We shall see!  She also had to have the DTAP vaccine, so the screaming & drama ensued.  No onto the stats, which is why the grandparents read:

Height: 34 inches 95th percentile
Weight: 25lbs 8oz 80-85th percentile
Head Circumference: 18.6 inches between 50-75th percentile

Enjoy some snapshots of Ms. Ella riding her pony toy around the house in her PJs...good thing she's cute, b/c she's a lot of trouble :)

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving 2012 was spent at Michael's parents home.  It was lovely as usual!  Michael's mom really knows how to do it up right.  From the beautiful place settings to the delicious food, she really has it down to a science.  Michael's sister & her family also gathered with us at Passineau family home to celebrate the many blessings of our family.  There were many good cousin moments & lots of chasing kiddos around.  On Friday evening we packed everyone up to go see the Mason Light Parade, this is something Michael has been going to since he was a little boy, so I think he is sentimental that our kids now attend also.  Here are some snapshots of our time together.  As always, it was a great time, although not without sleepless nights thanks to Ella.  She just is not sleeping well, going to the pediatrician today & we will discuss this then.  I don't think it's too serious, although I just want to be sure.  It's been almost 6 months since she slept through the night.  Anyway, enjoy a look at our holiday & have a wonderful day :)

Snow & Christmas dresses

So my dream for the girls' Christmas photos is to do them with a light dusting of snow.  Yesterday morning, when we awoke to such a sight I knew I had to try.  Try as I did, I only got a few of Jessie & none of Ella, she just doesn't care for the cold.  At least I got a few of Jessie and I am pretty happy with them, although she is eating snow in them :).  She is only 2 & 1/2 so a few is better than none.  Here are some of the ones I took, her dress got a little wet, but oh well, they still are pretty to me.  Have a wonderful day!

Already on the Christmas cards, just need a family photo for the front & we're good--grandparents I'll send you one
