The "wishing dandy"

Now you may be wondering, what exactly is a "wishing dandy"??  Well, at our house it is a dandelion that has become seeds & can be blown to make wishes, of course.  The girls love their "wishing dandies" & always take the time to blow them & make wishes.  Ah, the simple pleasures when you are 4 & 5.  This was Jessica's idea to call them by this name in case you're wondering where we got that.  Jessica asked me the other day, "Are wishing dandies flowers or weeds?"  I told her it depends on who you ask.   She said they are magical flowers.  I said, then they are to me also.  Hope everyone is enjoying Spring as much as we are!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's who read my blog.  So thankful for the gift of motherhood.  Could not be more proud to be mom to these 2.

2015

May evenings

May evenings at our house equals later play outside & lots of fun.  The girls just love to stay up later when the weather is warmer & play in the yard.  These will be some of my happiest memories:  seeing the joy as they play & enjoying the beautiful evenings as a family.

Independence

Jessica Marie is very into being 5 & independent.  She just recently really learned to swing herself & she is loving every second of independence that comes with that milestone.  She loves to go outside & just swing as high as possible.  I remember the feeling of freedom that comes from being able to swing to your hearts delight & am happy for her!

Warmer days

We are finally enjoying much warmer days & the sunshine feels so good!  So very thankful for nice Spring weather.

Magnolia

Each year I wait patiently while the weather continues to be cold & wonder if my magnolia tree will bloom.  This year it has & I always like to grab a few pics of the girls near it.  It smells divine & is beautiful.  Here are some shots of the girls loving the spring magnolia this year.
