Count down to the big K
Life has been busy lately, but we are enjoying some summer fun! Hope my blog readers are as well. I got Jessie all registered for Kindergarten this last week & wow, I can't believe we have 4 weeks until she starts real school. It will be a very different year this year with Jessie in school full time. The girls are looking forward to another year in dance & gymnastics & Jessica, of course, has been practicing "her skills" on the swing set. I know she is ready for the school year to start, but I'm not so sure about me or Ella. More to come on our preparations!

July 4th: part I
For July 4th this year we decided to meet family at our lake property. We have our RV parked up at the lake & have camped 3 times this year so far. The girls absolutely love it, of course! We decided to go up for the long weekend on July 3rd in the afternoon to get everything all set at the camp before family arrived. While Michael was busy setting up the camp, I took the girls down to the beach to play. I just love to see them enjoy the sun & water so much. From skipping rocks to "riding" waves, they love every second of the lake. They also like to pretend they are mermaids & that they have tails down near the water. Not surprising, their clothes got wet pretty quick, but I refuse to be one of those moms that says no all the time. Our first night was as beautiful & fun as you can imagine. Thankful for this fun time together as a family!

June 30: Water-sliding
I picked up an inexpensive waterslide for the girls this year at Sam's & it has been such a big part of this summer's entertainment that I thought I'd try to capture some joy one afternoon. Of course, they never behave like they should & insist on going down it together, but oh well, you only get to be a little child once. I love to see their faces when they are having fun!
