She's in school

Jessie's 1st day of "school" was Friday.  She looked so big with her little backpack on...I almost had a meltdown.  I know I'm silly, but she's just looking so much like a little girl these days--I can hardly believe that she's gotten big enough to be going to school--I grant you it's just playschool & only 1 half day a week, but still.  Her teachers are Ms. Sue & Ms. Jen, both just as nice as can be & really love this age group (bless their hearts, this is not an easy group).  These are not the best pics ever b/c she was not cooperating & we were running late, but here she is with her backpack.  Her report from her 1st day was good.  They sang songs, did puzzles, & read stories.  She even tried to go potty--which I was very proud of since she's not usually good at this if she's in a new environment.  After such a good report from school we went to McD's (McDonalds) for a "happy milk" as Jessie calls it & a small "cookie flurry".  We really think that this will be a good transition for her into preschool for this next year.  Also a good transition for mommy who will be returning to work part time this next year also.

P.S.  What does a 2 & 1/2 year old put in a backpack---goldfish crackers, fruit loops, a fork, & a toothbrush of course :)  Also, her daddy figurine from her family playset..funny, right??

  2. It goes so fast...I can't believe it! We're 1/2 way to Kindegarten--I think I'll need a Valium that day :)
