Evenings in the snow

The girls and I often go outside just after Ella is up from her nap & has had a snack.  It doesn't matter if we have snow or not, it's something we've been doing for close to a year now.  When it was warmer the girls would play on the swing set until it was closer to 5 then we would come in & really get dinner going.  Now that it's cold & snowy, we still try to get out a least for a little while.  Mostly the girls eat snow & look longingly at their swing set  which is totally covered with snow.  They also enjoy eating icicles & watching the sunset.  The deer are usually running through our yard by this time as they head over to our neighbors for their dinner (my neighbors feed the deer, totally illegal, but they're nice folks, so we don't say anything).  The girls, especially, Ella get a kick out of seeing the deer run through.  Here are a few snapshots of our time outside in the evening just before 5....
