Jessie's Halloween parade

This morning Jessica & her Kindergarten class had their Halloween parade.  Despite the cool temperatures, the kids had a blast & it was fun for us parents to see the kids in their cute costumes parade around the school.  Jessie's teacher was Princess Anna (& the other Kindergarten teacher was Queen Elsa).  In true Jessica fashion, our pretty peacock, was fully engaged & having a blast.  So thankful for a sweet teacher for her this year.  Fun times :)

Two

Two beautiful girls laying on our guest bed.....more photos from our fall festivities to come :) We have had an absolutely beautiful fall this year with lots of nice, warm weather, but alas....the rain has set in & it's getting cold.  I'm reminded why I don't love winter when this time of year rolls around.   These two have partied a lot this Fall, we've had numerous Halloween activities/parties, which has been great, but frankly, Halloween costumes are not made that well & it has required me to sew them numerous times.  I come from a long line of great seamstresses, but, I, myself, am no seamstress, really I can't even do simple things with sewing.  All that to say, it's been fun, but I'm ready for a quiet November.  Happy Wednesday :)

Pumpkin Patches of 2015

This year marked the end of a special tradition in our home (see 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014).  Ever since the girls have been very small we've been going to Reily's Summer Seat Farm to the pumpkin patch & Fall festival, but this year is the very last.  After 45 years in business this farm is closing down, which is so very bitter sweet to me.  I remember so fondly the many trips we've made to this friendly farm for our pumpkins & Christmas trees, but alas the owners are retiring & their children do not wish to carry on the tradition.  This farm will be sorely missed by our family.  With that being said, this years visit was our very best.  The girls were able to participate in all of the fun activities and loved the long hay ride out to the patch.  We had absolutely gorgeous weather the day we went & the girls did so well behavior wise.  After visiting Reily's, getting 2 small pumpkins, & doing all of the Fall festival events, we went to another local farm, Shenot, to actually pick our pumpkins.  They have larger & longer lasting pumpkins, so that is where we go for the actual pumpkins.  The girls picked 30lbs of pumpkins at Shenots.  Thankfully, Michael has wised up & we get the pumpkins down at the Farmer's market rather than trying to carry them out of the patch, that would certainly be a workout.  It was a wonderful time & always some of my favorite pictures from the year.  Enjoy & hope everyone is having as much fun this Fall as we are :)
