A mullet and the can-can....

Yes, as you can probably tell from the title, I've only had 1 cup of coffee so far, although a 2nd is in my future.  Here are a few pics to brighten your day.  Jessica's hair--well, what can I say she got a double dose of uncontrollable hair & it kind of looks like a mullet these days.  Good thing I have a love of all things girly to style hair ;)
Slightly mullet"ish"....

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ella has found her feet & thinks they are the best thing yet.....she may be able to dance the can-can with her flexibility or perhaps, ballet (I hold out hope for this, although, with my genes there is probably a slim chance).  Anyway, I think it's cute when they first start to get interested in their feet.  Enjoy & have a Happy Friday :)
Right foot...watch that toe point

Get ready with that left

So different, yet so precious!

Our daughters are so different, yet so precious in their own ways.  It is hard not to compare as parents, isn't it?  It's just so miraculous to see 2 completely different little people that came from DNA of your self & your husband & to see how God weaves it together to create a little individual.  Jessica studies things in a way that doesn't seem normal for a child her age...she's so much like her father :)  This morning, he gave her a rubix cube to play with & wouldn't you know that she just had to study it....she'll probably have it figured out by noon (j/k, but she's very intense with it;)
She also has a very sweet side & "takes care" of her stuffed animals, b/c they are her best friends.  Right now, Piglet & MoMo are her favorites, although she recently got some stuffed bears & she likes those also.
Talking with piglet in her room

She put them in her rocking chair...they needed a chair

Angel...the shirt is mostly right ;)
Ella is so very social.   All day yesterday, I told the girls dada would be home late, well, little Ms. princess didn't want to go to bed at her usual time, it's like she wanted to wait up for dada.  She just loves to smile & giggle when someone talks to her, it's so sweet!
Yep, the pants say princess & it is fitting

Such a happy little girl

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.  Yesterday, was the last day of nice weather here...now 30s & 40s at night, probably from now on...so I'm a little depressed, fortunate I have 2 little girls to make me laugh.

Indoor & Outdoor fun

Yesterday, the girls and I had fun doing their favorite thing...tummy time!  Jessica now likes to get in on the action too & she likes to color while Ella is doing her "exercises".....It's crazy--I couldn't get Jessica to do tummy time for very long when she was Ella's age, but now she thinks it's great--go figure.
Coloring during Ella's tummy time

helping Ella learn how to do things right

What color will those eyes be?  We do not know--kind of blue, green, gray

Playing with my camera's manual setting...don't know what I did, but she's cute anyway.

That hand is so good...she may just eat it right off
Love those little piggies

After playtime is over...we fall asleep
We are so fortunate to have such a large amount of land with our home, so we try to get outside as much as possible to see the various animals/plants/flowers that all grow in the woods, lately there are a lot of mushrooms & I've noticed the leaves changing color, so can't wait until they are at peak color to get some cute pics of the girls. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!
Jessica just loves the trees

Neat looking mushrooms

I just liked this old fallen down tree

So did you know who!

Happy Baby

Not really too much to report from our Monday.  Jessica had a tough night on Sunday so we had a quiet day & Ella was her usual sweet self.  Hope you all enjoy your Tuesday.  Here's a cute video of our little Ella in her swing being precious.  She has found her toes in the last week & I just think that is adorable...hopeful to have a video of that soon. Onto errands & chores!

Weekend Review: Sept. 23-25

Friday afternoon started off with me & Jess baking some Marbled Cheesecake brownies...it was rainy & both girls were grumpy so I thought brownies were in order.  Of course, Jessica thought they were cookies, but hey they are kind of like cookies.  Very rich & very tasty....

Mine never look as swirly as the pictures I see online, but they were delish!

Marbled Cheesecake Brownies

Brownies:
½ C (1 stick) butter, melted
1 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
½ C all-purpose flour
1/3 C cocoa
¼ tsp. Baking powder
¼ tsp. Salt

Filling:
4 oz cream cheese, softened (from 8 oz package)
1 egg
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Heat over to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch square baking pan. Stir together butter, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Spread 3/4 of brownie batter in pan. Spoon filling by tablespoonfuls evenly onto brownie batter. Spoon remaining brownie batter over filling. Cut through mixture with knife several times for marbled design. Bake 25-30 min. depending on oven. Cool completely & cut, Enjoy!
Moist, cheesecakey, chocolately, buttery goodness :)
Jessica thinks it is really funny when Ella is doing tummy time and now she tries to interact with her more, so it is pretty cute.  MoMo even got in on the tummy time action Friday afternoon.
A stare down (yes, Jessica is naked again ;)
MoMo is just one of the kids too!
We also had a very special visitor on Friday afternoon--Grandpa Passineau came over for a short visit.  He brought the girls some adorable gifts (I think Grandma Passineau had a hand in this :) and mostly just cuddled our little ones.  Our girls are very lucky to have grandparents that love them so much!
On Friday evening, Ella tried rice cereal from a spoon for the 1st time.  I already mix a little cereal in with her bottles because it seems to help the reflux.  She seemed to like it, although, it is still much faster to feed her via bottle.  I think she will soon get the hang of it ;)
Sunday we did our normal thing...rushed around getting both girls ready for church.  It's so funny how Jessica now knows Sunday's are special b/c she gets to wear a pretty dress & bow.  Yesterday while I was getting her dressed (I might add I got this hand smocked dress, brand new, with tags from On A Whimsy Consignment boutique in Ingomar for $10.00--that's my kind of deal;)  she kept touching her hair and saying bow.  Well, Ms. Jess just had to have a bow to complete the look.  Her hair is so wild right now that I had to get it in pig tails and put a bow in the side to keep it out of her face.  Nonetheless, she did end up looking adorable.
A little double cup action ;)
So cute...but looking so big, who is that little girl?
As for the littlest girl of the house, well, she also looked adorable in a little yellow, floral smocked dress, a gift from someone.
That pretty much rounds out our weekend.  Hope everyone got to enjoy a nice weekend & that you all have a wonderful Monday!

Pittsburgh Children's Museum

Yesterday we had a very fun outing with some friends from church.  Luke Tobik & his mommy, Allison, were kind enough to meet us girls at the children's museum.  We had never been & despite the fact both girls were a little off their game, thanks to the multiple shots they had the day before, we did have fun.  Although, I do think in a few years Jessica will enjoy it more (as will little Ella--she just mostly slept in the baby carrier during this visit).   We started on the 2nd floor known as the nursery, they had an assortment of toys and activities suitable for our toddlers, both are 18 months.
Ready for the museum, MoMo came also, of course!

Crazy little girl...she was so excited

Look at her little blonde friend, he's such a sweetie!

Very curious about the puppets

Playing trains with Luke

She liked the giant Lite Bright

Both toddlers thought the ball maze was great

She had just watched Luke do this, so she had to try.
Once they had mostly gotten tired of this 2nd floor, we made our way up to the 3rd floor--the water area.  Now Jessica just loves water & pools, so I knew this would be a hit & it was.  Allison suggested that we strip the kids down to their diapers before they played & that was a great idea!  They had little rain coats & shoes for them to wear so they could play in the water.
Yeah...she kind of still puts everything in her mouth, but we are working on it

I think the raincoat is really cute :)

There was so much to see that she had a difficult time focusing on any one thing
I would say that our 1st visit was a success....Jessica did have fun & she was so overstimulated by the time we called it a day that she slept all the way home in the car.  A huge thank you to our friends Allison & Luke, we hope to have more fun playdates with them, especially as the weather cools down.  That's all for us.  We hope to enjoy a fairly low key weekend at home.  Have a fabulous Friday!
