1st camping trip: Ohiopyle State Park

Well we've officially joined the RV crew…yes, I'm serious!  We are proud camper owners now & we made good use of it this past weekend by traveling to the Laurel Highlands region of Ohiopyle State Park for our 1st camping trip.  Although, Michael was getting the hang of towing a camper, we had an uneventful trip & all went smoothly.  The girls love, love the camper & although they didn't sleep all that well either night, the activity & fun they had was definitely evident.  We even ran into some of our dear friends while we were in the campground (the Tobiks)…crazy, to see church friends just a few spots down in the campground, but they girls were thrilled to see Luke & baby brother Jacob.  We stayed in the campground on Friday night through Sunday morning.  We saw the big sights in Ohiopyle & even made a trip to Laurel Caverns.  The best part of it all was the fact our weekend seemed longer than ever & that we had wonderful uninterrupted family time, which is why we have chosen to invest in a camper.  The girls loved seeing the waterfalls, caverns, & they even found a playground that was to their liking on our last morning.  If you are in the Pittsburgh area we would highly recommend Ohiopyle for the picturesque setting, laid back pace, & great restaurants.  It was like a mini-vacation only 2 hours away from the city….beautiful!  Enjoy a few of our snapshots & have a wonderful day!

Inside the trailer, the girls enjoy bunk beds & a flat screen tv…not exactly roughing it
