Ella is 3 years old

How can it be that my little baby, Ella, is 3 years old today?  Sometimes she seems so grown up & yet other times she seems so little.  She is so independent right now & hardly wants to receive help.  What is Ella interested in these days?  FROZEN, my little pony, & wonder pets.  She absolutely loves anything & everything related to the movie Frozen.  From her new blanket, to her small figures, & dolls.  Ella will sit & play with her little figures of the characters for hours.  She loves to set them up & act out little skits with them...often quoting the movie!  Of course, big sis, gets in on the action too & often corrects Ella on some of the movie quotes.  Ella also really, really loves My Little Pony.  She loves to brush the ponies & also set them up in little scenes....I just love to watch her do this.  Sometimes, while listening to her little scenes she will say one pony is not sharing & she will put that pony on the "naughty step."  Which is the name of our time-out step.  She also enjoys exploring the yard, picking flowers, & playing in water.  She is absolutely fearless & will do anything...no hesitation, which is a trait which I admire, but also terrifies me.  She loves to sing & dance.  She is starting dance this fall, which I am thrilled.  I found a little dance school that offers dance & tumbling at the same time, so she & her sister will be doing that starting in August.  Ella is a mostly compliant child, although the competition between she & her sister is no laughing matter.  At first, I thought it was mostly Jessica, but now we see that Ella certainly contributes her fair share as well.  Ella is strong willed in her own way & will smile or act sweet to get what she wants.  She is in mostly 4T clothing because she is so tall.  A lady asked me the other day if my kids are 6 & 4?  She looked absolutely shocked when I said almost 3 & 4....haha, my kids are huge!   Ella will try anything to eat, although she has gotten more picky about fruits that she likes.  Ella loves boys!  She flirts with all of our little boy friends & gives them nicknames.  For example, our friend Luke gets called Luke-y by Ella.  I don't think Luke likes that all that much, but Ella insists.  She is doing well in her new preschool since I've started back to work.  There has been an adjustment, but we are getting there & considering my options next year for preschool, 2 full days beats 5 half days any time!  She is so friendly with the other kids & the teachers always tell me she's a joy to have in class.  She continues to have a huge belly laugh that will put a smile on anyone's face.  She loves to joke around & laugh.  What a joy she is to have in our family!  Thanking God today for our sweet little Ella.  Happy Birthday to our baby girl!  (**nicer photos of her to come if it ever stops raining**)
