Sunday Feb. 8th

Today, the girls were looking particularly cute & I thought I'd grab a few candids.  Jessica in particular has really grown & changed over the last few months.  She's very tall & looks so grown-up to me.  She loves to pick out her clothes at the store & gets excited to wear new dresses to church.  Ella also is growing up very rapidly right now.   She's certainly lost her baby look & her facial features are becoming more & more like a little girl.  Some of their favorite phrases right now include:

Jessica (1 month until 5):
"I know, I know everything!"
"Probably, yeah"
"I'm ok"
"I have a headache."  She says this to get out of anything she doesn't want to do.
"I'm exhausted, give me 5 min."

Ella (3 months until 4)
"I fell on my dumpty"....dumpty referring to her behind
"I love my sissy"
"Don't tell my sissy what to do."
"I want some food, my tummy is talking."
"I have a headache....I need a nap."

Obviously, they've probably heard me say I have a headache & they certainly copy me.  Good reminder to watch everything I say.

P.S.  Jessie would only allow me to take her picture....if her little turtle (Squirt) was in the photos.  I'll take it :)

Last day of Jan.

A few snapshots from the last day of Jan.....running out of material for the old blog.

This is her absolute favorite dress....despite the fact it's sleeveless she thinks it's great for winter

This one....never wears clothing, so there you go....it may 12 degrees, but that doesn't stop her

Sledding

It's Feb. 1st & we are totally covered in snow!!!  I'm seriously wondering if I will need to take Michael's truck into work tomorrow morning, but today was a great day for sledding!  The girls & daddy had a blast.  We did have a family snow ball fight, which was fun, but the sledding is all daddy :)

Snowflakes

We have a huge amount of snow on the ground right now, probably 6-8 inches.  I thought it only appropriate I try to take a few pics of snowflakes.  For a first try, not too bad!  Especially for a Southern girl :)

Sunday dress up

Sunday, it was warmer & the girls were channeling "Frozen" for church attire.  They wanted their pics taken after we got home & I have to say they looked pretty cute!  How'd my girls get so big?

Winter Gala 2015

The girls had their little "Winter Gala" this evening, complete with little performances from them & their little classmates.  They were so proud of themselves!  Earlier in the day we had to go pick out "cozy" jeans for Jessie to wear as this was the dress code.  Normally, she wouldn't go near a pair of jeans....crazy, right?  Well, she was  proud of her little jeans tonight & Ella got a new Frozen shirt to wear for the occasion.  It was a fun night & we are so thankful for healthy, smart children!  Here are some pics & videos for the grandparents!  I have more video, but couldn't get it to upload :(  Jessie recited 2 rhymes about snow & snowmen & Ella's class sang 3 songs, including YMCA....very cute!

Jessie loves the stage

Ella, although a little shy, did great
