Family Date
This last weekend, we ventured out for a beautiful Pittsburgh evening to enjoy the North Shore area. The girls walked the water steps & we walked to the large fountain down at Point Park. It was a hot August evening, but no rain & not humid. The girls loved the steps & seeing all the sights. After enjoying our summer walk we headed to a historic ice cream parlor. It was a beautiful evening & a memorable one for me also! I love our family time!

Kindergarten Orientation
Today, we had orientation for Kindergarten for Jessica. She was so excited, but I fought back tears. I know she's ready, but it is the end of an era for us. She was so excited to go to her school today & meet her teachers. Her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Garrow, is a seasoned teacher & just as sweet as you would hope for your little Kindergartener. The did a low-key kindergarten assessment with the kids and the form I got back said no concerns for Jessica. Although, I know this is probably what most parents received, I always am grateful that she has no learning disabilities. They got to explore their room & take a bus ride. She looked so small getting on the bus, but she loved every second. So very proud of our Kindergartener. Looking forward to seeing how she grows & learns in this next year!

4th of July: Part II
So on the 2nd day of our 4th of July weekend, we headed across the road from our property to a grassy field area for a few pics. Then we met up with family & went to the Westfield Farmer's Market & the craft market. Later we headed to Midway state park. This is a cute little kiddie park, which the kids really enjoyed. They loved doing the rides together. Later after we were all fed, we changed them into their 4th of July duds made especially by Michael's sister for the kiddos. The girls love to dress alike & well, our little nephew just likes to be included. Once it began to get dark we all headed down to Lake Chautauqua to watch the fireworks. It was a beautiful evening & great fireworks display. The kiddos returned to camp that night exhausted, but happy.
I do actually try to get in pics....it just doesn't work out very often as seen below :)
