Well, despite the heat--I think Ella's party was a great time. The Bruster's Ice Cream was a big hit & it seemed like folks enjoyed the cake. For the party we had S'mores, White Turtle, & Oreo ice cream, the cake was a basic yellow cake with regular buttercream for the top part & chocolate frosting for the cone portion. We are so appreciative to all the friends/family that came to celebrate our Ella. It is really funny to think that 4 years ago in June we had no kids & basically no friends in this area. As we celebrated Ella's 1st Birthday, I was blown away by the friends that we now have & all the love that was showered on our little girl. So a big thank you to those who attended! I have to state before I show some pics....that I didn't play photog this weekend. I just ran my camera in auto mode (which is why the quality of the pics is not as good as usual). I was just too hot & busy to worry if my settings were correct. I did learn some things about throwing a party away from home....you need a lot of stuff to be transported back & forth if you're going to attempt this. I foolishly thought, oh, no big deal, I don't need that much, but really you do! If I had it to do over again I might have just done it at our house, but sometimes you just don't know until you try, right?? So enjoy some pics of our little party & have a wonderful day!

Do I look crazed or what??? Can you say sugar coma!! I must admit I had 4 cups of ice cream before this pic was taken |

Opening her gifts at home, it's amazing how early they get the hang of this, isn't it?? |

This is me & my neighbor Ms. Nancy--she's 79 & that's our friendly Bruster's Ice Cream man is in the back--Marco (yeah, total sugar coma for me--this is the only pic I had of the ice cream set up, so that's why I put it up) |
