Biker Babe & gallery

Jessie is a biker babe these days, she loves spending time on her bike and check out her new shoes.  Rainbow, sparkle was what she wanted, thankfully many shoes are made this way….hehe!  Also, after procrastinating, thinking, measuring, & measuring some more….I finally finished my family photo gallery.  It's not 100% perfect as I wanted, but after working to get those frames & spacing right, this is close enough for me.  This previously empty wall now looks a lot better.  That's all for now, more this week from the Passineau home :)

Final measurement was 6 feet by 4.5 feet.  Glad to have it done!

The Target Tax

Yeah, so I headed into Target with a list of 3 things: 1) dishwasher tabs, 2) picture hangers, & 3) Milk….but then the Target tax hit & now we have 2 Elsas in our home.  All you mamas reading know what I'm talking about…when you go into Target to get 3 things & then end up bringing home stuff you didn't intend to.  Well, it surely got me yesterday.  We had been looking for Elsa dresses & dolls for the girls since last Christmas.  I was unwilling to go on Amazon to buy these things for 5xs more than what they are worth, but yesterday, we found them both on the toy aisle.  The girls couldn't be more delighted!  As you can probably tell from the pics, the girls have very different views of Elsa.  Ella loves Elsa b/c she's pretty & has a braid.  Ella also likes to sing "Let it Go."  Jessica, on the other hand, likes Elsa b/c she's the queen & can shoot ice from her hand.   Jessica has been walking around the house telling me & her sister, "I am your queen."  Jessica also likes to sing "Let it Go", but mostly likes to make Ella & I her servants....did I mention, Jessica can be quite a handful!  Oh well, I think it's hilarious how different they both are & how excited they were to get these things.  I feel so fortunate to be able to do a little spoiling from time to time.  Hope you all have a great day!

Sunday, Sept 7

On Sunday afternoon, after church & lunch-- the girls & I went outside to play.  I thought I'd try to capture some candids of them on their bikes as they are really into riding bikes right now.  Ella, especially, just really thinks she's big when she rides on Jessie's small bike with training wheels.  (after this weekend, we no longer have anyone using a trike...both girls are on big bikes!)  Sunday was the 1st day she was really able to ride this bike by herself; Jessie thought Ella did a great job also so much so that she went over to give her a high five for "being such a big girl."  They are also really into playing in the sand, so I made them a little sandbox with a old storage bin & some sand from Home Depot.  I also took some random macro shots of things in the yard….I know all too soon there will only be ice & snow to look at, we are trying to soak up what's left of the warm weather.

Midway before the storm

So over Labor Day weekend, we did end up taking the girls to Midway State Park.   The girls call this place "daddy's big fun park."  This is an absolutely wonderful little kiddie park for small kids as all the rides are geared towards them & you can't beat the price….unlimited rides for $10.  On Sunday (Aug. 31st), we took the girls for one last trip to Midway & unfortunately after only 1 hr. it started to pour, but we had promised them they could go, so we got in a little fun before the storm.  It was a great time despite being so wet & we look forward to another season at Midway next year in the Spring.

They love the roller coaster :)
