The amazing Jessica

It seems as though Jessica is getting more verbal by the day.  Yesterday, she was taking her bath & she wanted to play with her shampoo bottle.  I told her it was purple shampoo & sure enough she said it back to me in her little language (poo-ple champ-poo).  Here's a list of the words that I know she says:
Mama
Dada
Kitty Cat
Baby Ella (it comes out Ebba)
Jessie
Red
Purple
Blue
Pool
Book
Card (as in flash cards)
Bear
Car
Cup
Bottle (well, baba, but close enough)
Picture
Chair
Stinky (as in stinky toes)
Bath
Deer (the ones she sees run through our yard)
Num Nums (she uses this for food)
Shoes
Yo Yo
Apple (sounds like papple)
Pup pup (for doggy)
Woof woof (what doggy says)
Quak quak (for duck)
Wa Wa (for water)
Shampoo
Cookie
Papy (this is what she calls her pacey or binky)
Rock
Stick
Tree
Leaf

I am certain there are others that I don't recognize, but these are the ones I hear 100 times daily.  Below is a video of her from yesterday, chasing the deer in our yard & saying car, also some pics.  I know I am biased, but I think she's doing great with her words & I think she's an exceptional child.  I am trying to teach her some manners, although, I think this is going to be an uphill battle and I am also starting a little potty training.  She loves the potty right now, so I am trying to exploit this to my benefit.  Even though she's a handful right now, I know she has great potential.  We love her so much and I am blessed to be her mommy!  Enjoy your Tuesday & the below pics/video.

Yep, right in the water with our outfit on

  1. I can't believe Jess says that many words!!! They say girls are more advanced in language than boys. Luke says a lot of ba and da and gibber jabber but not much we can understand at this point! So to me she is definitely exceptional!! Your new playroom sounds adorable. Please post finished pictures!

  2. Thanks so much Allison....I thought Jess would never say more than mama & dada & now all of a sudden it's like the flood gates have opened. You & Luke will have to come over to see the playroom when we get it all finished, I think he & Jess could be great playmates :)
