The weekend: In review

We had another quiet weekend around the Passineau house.  On Saturday, Daddy took care of both girls while I went to pick out carpet for our new 4th bedroom/playroom.  I got a really great deal at a carpet remnant store and I found a pretty gray-blue shag....it may be a bit unconventional (ie it's not beige), but this is a playroom & I wanted something fun that would be very soft.  I also made a trip to IKEA and found some cute accessories for the room to add some whimsy.  I got some bean bags, a treasure chest toy box, and this really cute circus tent that the girls can crawl into to read or play (which is larger than I thought, about 2 & 1/2 feet in diameter).  I actually set it up this morning, just to see what Jessica's reaction might be & she loved it.  She crawled in & out of it for about 40 min.  I also ordered a large (3 foot) butterfly kite off ebay that I can hang from the ceiling to add interest (got this steal for  99 cents + $5 shipping)....pretty proud of that!  On Sunday, we had a lovely morning at church & Jessica had fun in the nursery--no crying when we dropped her off, she just ran to the little slide they have & started playing.  We all got a nap on Sunday afternoon, which was awesome & then Jessica got to play in her pool.  She thought it was really funny to put water in her pool, by herself & to try to get daddy wet with the hose (see video below).  Ella was so good all weekend & even slept 8 full hours last night (I am a pretty happy mommy this morning :)  She's getting so big, so quickly and it truly seems like she's growing larger everyday....love all those little baby rolls (see pics below of our little chunk).  I actually just heard about 1 hr ago that our little nephew arrived safely into the world.  He was supposed to come on Friday, but my sister-in-law's induction did not happen due to the large number of ladies already in labor.  This morning at 3 AM her water broke & she was already in labor when she got to the hospital.  Brendan Karl was 9 lbs 0oz and 22 inches long.  No pictures to post yet, although I did get a text & he looks like his dad...what a cutie:)  So a big congratulations to the Muller family on their newest addition, we love you guys!  Today's project is to figure out how to layout a stairwell picture gallery.  I want to decorate my stairwell with a good number of the gorgeous pictures from Gabriella's newborn photos & need to lay it out in paper 1st to decide on sizes, etc.  Hope you all have wonderful Monday!
