Yesterday was a big day for the Passineau girls! The playroom got carpet. Our contractor had just finished all the carpentry and construction on Friday and we are so very pleased with the result. The carpet I had chosen is very soft & I know the girls will have many fun times in the room. The only downside is that the carpet was so thick with the heavy pad that now one of the closet doors is a little too tight, so the contractor will have to come back to cut and reinstall it before everything is completely finished, but other than that the install went great. Yesterday, while Jessica was taking her nap, I got all the toys moved downstairs and her new stuff set up so that I could do a big reveal for her much like they do on the home makeover shows. Needless to say, she was very excited and didn't know what to look at first. She, Ella, and I have all spent hours down there already. We feel very fortunate that our girls can have such a wonderful, safe environment to play and look forward to having other little ones over to enjoy their new room.

This was a pretty dramatic difference compared to the before pictures that can be seen in my previous blog post entitled "
Construction has begun". After I had all the toys and decorative touches (that I have for now) in place, I also snapped a few quick pics, let's just say this is as neat as the room will ever be.

I really thought the butterfly kites added a whimsical touch |

The circus tent and bean bags were a big hit |

The mesh stacker thing is great for smaller toys, plastic food, and foam letters |

Both girls loved their new room and it is so nice to have all their toys in one place. We still want to get a large couch and a TV stand to set up our old TV and cable box, for when the girls start to watch cartoons, etc., but for now, we are just enjoying the wide open space.
