3 year checkup

Our big girl Jessie had her 3 year check up yesterday.  She did well, especially, since there were no shots involved.  She does not like the nurses, but her pediatrician, Dr. Rowland, she loves.  He's so silly with her & can always make the girls laugh.  We are fortunate to have such a good pediatrician.  He said she looked perfect.  I discussed my concerns with him about her not napping & he reassured me that every kid was different with that & that some just didn't need to nap as long as others.  We also discussed preschool for her this next year & he said he thought she was completely ready to go to a more full-time schedule...don't know if mama is ready, but Jessie is ready!  Here are her stats at 3 years old:

Height: 39.5 inches 95th percentile
Weight: 32 lbs 62nd percentile

She wore her Hello Kitty outfit yesterday & Dr. Rowland actually kept her calm while he listened to her heart, by looking for Hello Kitty in the exam room...clever!  Of course, because my kids never seem to look great when they go to the doctor, Jessie had played artist on herself before her appointment, so I got a lot of comments about her drawing on her face...oh well, even though they say markers are washable, I find they are hard to get off the facial skin.  Here are some snapshots of big girl before her appointment.  I was so proud of how articulate she was with Dr. Rowland & what an independent/smart girl she is becoming.  Thankful she's so healthy.
