The future and a look back......

This weekend we traveled over to Michigan to meet our new little nephew, Brendan Karl Muller, and also to celebrate Michael's 20th high school reunion.  We went over on Friday night, leaving just before Jessica's bedtime.  This worked out great and both girls ended up sleeping most of the way.  When we got to Grandma & Grandpa's house, Jessica ran around and was very excited to see their Pup-pup.  Ella slept great once we gave her a little milk and got her all swaddled.  I think nighttime travel will definitely be something we do more often. 

On Saturday, we drove over to Grand Rapids to see Michael's sister & her family.  Wendy & her husband, Brett, and their daughter, Hannah moved recently and we were glad we got to see their new home.  It is adorable and in such a safe, family-friendly neighborhood.  We are so happy for them.  We, of course, got to meet their sweet baby boy, born August 1st.  He is such a cutie and looks so much like his daddy that it is uncanny.  Brendan is a precious addition to our family & we pray God will use us as He sees fit to help guide & support him. We have high hopes for the next generation of our family & are thankful for such healthy, beautiful children!

Seriously, is there anything more precious than one this little??

Mason High School Class of 1991 celebrated 20 years on Saturday evening at a local catering hall.  Michael had a good time catching up with old friends and with folks he hadn't seen since graduation---all those years ago (haha, just had to say it!)  The added bonus was that Michael and I got to see our friends, Kevin & Julie Simons at the reunion.  Kevin and Michael have remained in contact since graduation & he & his lovely wife, Julie, often visit us when they are in Pittsburgh to see family.  From a spouse perspective, it was nice to meet people who knew Michael when he was a kid.  I didn't hear any funny stories from people that went to school with him, although, I did see a very funny picture of him on his senior Spring Break trip to Colorado.  He was shirtless on top of a snowy mountain---wonder what his colleagues at Allegheny General Hospital would think??....hehe!

We appreciate so much Michael's parents willingness to watch the girls.  They can be a handful right now and we enjoyed a nice evening out thanks to them.  So thank you Grandma & Grandpa Passineau--we love you!
