Bowling Birthday Party

This weekend we were invited to one of our little friend's birthday parties.  He was turning 6 years old & his sweet mommy had planned a bowling party for him.  To our surprise, the girls, were quite the little bowlers.  Jessica especially loved when she threw the ball & hit the pins.  Ella didn't really understand the game, but was excited nonetheless.  It's funny how the girls are beginning to understand that daddy does some things better than mommy & they just wanted daddy to help them bowl...which, means the girls are wise beyond their years as I am no bowler!  It was a fun time & I could hardly believe they had a size 6 toddler shoe at the bowling shoe rental...those were some tiny little bowling shoes...but Ella loved wearing them.  Well, girlfriend, does love her shoes, so I guess this should be no surprise.  The girls were in heaven as they served hot dogs & fries & then chocolate cake...little kids dream food!!  They also did a pretty good job of taking turns with the other kids while bowling.  Jessie did pretty well & managed to knock some pins down, Ella, well, if she hit any...it was probably an accident, even with the bumpers up, she didn't really knock too many down :)  They had a great time & we had a fun time as a family.  Thankful to celebrate with our friends.

P.S.  The girls insisted on wearing tutus--to bowl--the compromise was that they wore shorts underneath...life with girly girls :)

That bowling ball was made of chocolate...you better believe this mama, sampled that!!

Are these the  cutest little bowlers you've ever seen or what??

Please ignore the fact that they are both picking their noses

Ella let me help her with one round...then kicked me to the curb

Daddy was back with her after our bad attempt

Making a wish

Our hostess had her hands full with that many little kids wanting cake
A few of the birthday boy & his mama...they love each other very much!!
